After stepping away from a decade-long teaching career, I have been able to awaken my creative mind. I now see the world through so many lenses–as a writer, an artist, a dancer, designer, mother, daughter, and dreamer.  Taking the time and space to travel and find inspiration helps me sharpen my skills as a writer.

My background in English Language Arts has provided me with an extensive knowledge of writing structures, styles, and technique. Using both formal and informal writing structures, factual or persuasive styles, as a writer and editor I work macro and micro levels by attending to layout, structure, flow, voice, tone, accuracy, grammar, and punctuation. Each aspect of publication and presentation determine user accessibility and optimal efficiency. I believe that well planned and executed content should benefit both parties. It should make sense. There should be a clear story being told.

Content is merely content. It takes skill and perspective to present written content that engages and stays with a person. I want to know my audience and understand who they are and what they need. To create and write something meaningful requires listening and reflection.
